Uhh...hey guys!
Yeah, it baffles me that the last journal entry that I wrote was posted a year and a half ago. AND THAT NEEDED TO BE CHANGED! I only started coming back to dA this year for the purpose of chatting on the dA chatrooms, but really, what's the point of having an account here if your only going to converse, and not post any new Deviations, journals, etc? I mean, it's called deviantART for a reason, right?
Now, why have I not been on dA posting journals, deviations, and all that good stuff? Well, looking from the top that's one reason, but hey, I've got a life outside the internet! I'm preparing to play Offensive Tackle on our school football team and going to practice and working out in the weight room needed to become one of my main priorities in order to make the team. Then, when I'm off of Football, I'm chilling with my friends, going to theme parks, movies, and tons of other places of interest. For those who do not have a life outside the internet, then yes, I've been very lazy.

When it comes to football, there's injuries. You'd think that an injury for an Offensive Tackle would be from...you know...tackling? In my case, no.
August 17th; the first day of Two-a-Day practices, its about 85° and the humidity is practically at its highest. We've just got through a good forty minute lecture by the coaches, and we were hauling ass to get on the turf. We had no shoulder pads, football pants, nor any lower body protective padding; it was just helmets, shirts, and shorts. We all sat on the sidelines and strapped up our helmets, and of course, I was having trouble with it. Teammates were already lined up on the end zone, preparing to warm up, and there I was still on the sidelines struggling to strap up. At that point I was all like, "Screw it.." and just strapped it in an improper place on my helmet, which made it more looser rather than tighter. After warming up, that's when we went into some drills, which involved one teammate backpedaling while another tries to charge at him and tag him. When it came around to be my turn to backpedal, that's when the accident happened. I began to backpedal, and the kid charged me, the kid somehow put one of his feet in front of my moving feet, causing me to fall backward. Before I hit the ground, my loose helmet tilted backwards and the chin strap came off. Right when I came crashing down, the backside of my head hit the non-padded edge of my tilted helmet. It left about a two inch gash and some blood, I was taken into the trainer's room to ice it up and wait for my Dad to swing by and take me to the emergency room. We sat at the hospital for a good four hours; three hours of waiting, one hour of preparations and stitching, five of them.
I was out of football practice for a week, nothing to do but sit on the sidelines and watch, then after that time passed, I was back in the game. Fortunately for me, the injury didn't interfere with my chances of making the team, so i'm relieved. I'm flabbergasted that this happened on my first year, day, and even hour of practice.
I know, I'm a dumbass.

Schools starts next week, along with a bunch of other junk, so I might as well go and enjoy the rest of the free time I have.
I'll see you guys around!
